CPA. AUTHOR. CONSULTANT. PRESENTER.

Jim LaHam is a CPA/Tax Expert who has been practicing in the tax world for almost 50 years. He is currently the Senior Tax Partner of Berman Hopkins Wright & LaHam CPAs, a large Central Florida CPA firm with offices in Orlando and Melbourne. He has been in this role since 1989 and served as Managing Partner for 14 years prior to this as well as heading up the Tax Department.

Jim's prior experience includes Big Four Firms, Deloitte Touche and KPMG, the 3M Company, Director of Taxation at American Pioneer, Inc. and practicing as a Tax Partner in his hometown of Antigo, Wisconsin.

Jim is an expert in Federal taxation and specializes in business tax structures, tax strategies, sales and acquisitions of businesses, succession planning, and IRS tax examinations and controversies. He is a frequent writer, speaker and presenter on various tax and business subjects.

Jim graduated in 1973 from Loyola University of New Orleans and was Valedictorian of the School of Business. He is married to his wife Michele and has one daughter, Andrea, and three grandchildren. Jim enjoys tennis, outdoor sports, reading, movies, travel and cuisine.
